The Center for Community Engagement strives to engage our broader community in ways that teach us to address underlying causes of inequity and that reconnect us to ourselves, our convictions, and each other.

We trust that gaining a deeper relationship with the community-local, national, global-is integral to the educational mission of Williams College. We are dedicated to building sustainable community partnerships for human rights and social justice.

The Center for Community Engagement works with public and non-profit organizations and offers student leadership opportunities in the Berkshires and beyond. The Center coordinates volunteer work and community work-study placements, supports community spring break and first-year orientation programs, and acts as a resource for opportunities in service and social justice, including learning how to lead.
